Beth Moore Bible Study - Stepping Up - Psalms of Ascent

Do you enjoy diving into the Word of God to explore biblical teachings on relevant topics? 

This Beth Moore Bible Study takes an in-depth look at Psalms 120-134.  It offers women unique opportunities for personal reflection, worship, and greater intimacy with God, who delights in hearing not only our praise, but our petitions as well. This 9-week study includes weekly homework, small groups discussion, and a large group video-taped teaching by Beth Moore.

Troy Campus: Wednesday mornings from 9:15- 11:30 am from September 17- November 19.
Cost: Workbook - $13; free will offering for supplies and child care. 
Child Care: Treasure Time child care is available.

Do you enjoy digging deep into the Bible?  Do you feel closer to God when you discover new truths about Him through His written Word? Then Insights Bible Study is for you.
 
The Book of Acts Bible Study: The Book of Acts Bible Study is a history book of the early church that includes Jesus' charge to His disciples at His Ascension, their power-filled first steps of faith and Holy-Spirit led adventures, Paul's missionary journeys, and the life and times of the first believers. Whether you are new to studying the Bible, or a seasoned student of the Word, Acts is an exciting book to explore. This 9-week study incorporates a large group teaching time with KCC's own teachers, and small groups discussion based on weekly homework.  
 
Rochester Campus: Monday mornings 9:15-11:15 am (at Oakland 
Christian Church) from September 15 - November 17 
 
Troy Campus: Tuesday mornings 9:15-11:15 am, or Tuesday 
evenings 7-9 pm from September 16 - November 18 
 
Cost: Free will offering for workbook, supplies, and child care.  
Child Care: Treasure Time child care is available for morning Insights Bible studies only. 
 
 
Gospel of John Study: If you're new to the Bible, this DVD presentation of the Gospel of John is designed for you.   This 9-week study of Jesus' ministry life includes a large group teaching time and small groups discussion based on weekly homework.
Troy Campus: Wednesdays from 9:15-11:30 am, from October 1 - November 19.
Cost: Free will offering for workbook, supplies, and child care.
Child Care: Treasure Time child care is available.

MOPS: You are invited to a place designed specifically for you, a mother of preschoolers. Here you'll experience authentic community, mothering support, personal growth, and spiritual hope, all to help you be the best mom possible.  Format includes large group teaching, small groups discussion, and creative activities.  Troy Campus: Wednesday mornings from 9-11:30 am, every other week September 17 - November 19.
Cost:  $25 registration fee per semester; annual $25 MOPS Int'l Membership Fee.
Child Care:  Treasure Time child care is available. Cost per Semester is $40 for one child, $75 for two children and $100 for 3 or more.

Book Clubs: For women who love to read, Book Clubs are a great way to share that love and get acquainted with other Kensington women without a huge commitment.  Clubs are open for women to visit, and/or come as often as they like – with no obligation.

Mentoring - Apples of Gold: is an eight-week nurturing program for women based on Titus 2:3-5 and Proverbs 25:11. Mature women mentoring younger women in spiritual and practical ways.

Small Groups: Small groups are the heartbeat of Kensington.  They are the “glue” that holds the church together. It’s easy to get lost in a church the size of Kensington, but equally easy to find a small group that is just the right fit.

Registration Information:

  • Registration begins on Thursday, September 4 for all campuses using the small groups website at  www.kensingtonchurch.org/smallgroups.  See new website info below.
  • All campuses will have information tables in their lobbies the weekend of September 6 and 7.
  • Troy Campus only will have a laptop set up for on-line registration in the lobby that weekend.
  • If you do not have access to a computer to register on-line, please contact Patty Wernette at 248-786-0621.
  • Note: Due to the complexity created by our multiple campuses and service times, we are  using on-line registration only at this time.  

New Website Registration Tips:

  • The website is still under construction, so if you encounter any problems, please check back periodically.
  • Access the small group website at www.kensingtonchurch.org/smallgroups
  • Select "Group Type" - Women's
  • Select "Location" - Troy, Rochester Hills, or Clinton Twp.
  • Select "Meeting Day" - Mon., Tues, Wed., or Thurs.
  • Once the list of groups that meet all the criteria selected comes up, choose the group you want (e.g. The Book of Acts, Insights) and follow the steps indicated to register for that program.  
  • If you have trouble finding a particular group on the website, the leaders may still be in the process of entering their group and meeting information, so you may have to check back periodically.
